Destination: Tokyo Part 3

Day 3
Date: 16 February 2008

On the itinerary today, it's Asakusa & Ueno.

Asakusa is one of the old town in Tokyo. It is situated in Taito District.

This is where the famous Sensoji Temple is.

This is the side entrance of the temple.

One of the many souviner shops along the corridor heading towards the temple.

OMG, look at the crowd!!

Colourful souviners for sale. Well, cookies included!

That's the sake stall. They gave out free samples of cold and hot sake which I did not try out. :P

Next: Nakimase Shopping Arcade

There wasn't much to see (for me anyways), so I only did a short walk here.

Heading to Sensoji Temple now!

Food stalls outside the temple. Everything looked delicious!

Bought this spiral potatoes. Seasoning - salt and japanese mayo. It's deep fried. Yums!!

I'm surprised at the crowd. It's only a Friday!

Once I was done with the temple, I headed to the famous Ueno Park.

Look at all the greeneries. Is it the same as it is in Central Park, NYC?

The park was huge! I probably was walking around for about 30 minutes!

Park again!

Sakura - already blooming! I was lucky to have seen them!
