So I decided to go to Roppongi & Asakasa today. Roppongi looks really modern and also very CBD-ish. Asakusa is the actual CBD
Not alot of people on the street at this time of day.
That's right outside Roppongi Hills.
Managed to capture a signboard for keepsake.
Another view of the outside of Roppongi Hills.
Roppongi Hills. That's the mall. Looks pretty high class to me. The brands that they carry are mostly medium end to high end though.
Another shot of the mall.
Tokyo City View building, which I did not enter. I wasn't interested then.
This is the Hollywood Beauty Mall. It's right opposite Roppongi Hills mall.
I was looking forward to have lunch at Tony Roma's, especially the pork ribs. However, it's closed! They are only opened for dinner! :(
Then I made my way to Hard Rock Cafe. Same again, closed for lunch but I bought a t-shirt anyway. I was into HRC t-shirts then. Crazily buying a piece everywhere I travel to!
Roppongi again.
So I went to lunch at a very nice restaurant. Didn't manage to snap a picture of the outside of the shop so I won't be able to recommend the shop. I was around this area again early this month. I couldn't find the shop. Maybe they have closed down, maybe I was at the wrong building? I'm not sure.
Ghost chair!! And free water!
This is what I ordered. There's rice, pork belly cooked with soy and ginger, salad, potato salad, pickles and miso soup. I think that's about ¥980. Quite a bargain really. It's delicious!
I walked to Asakasa as it was just around the corner.
I walked...
And walked...
Finally found the entrance to Hie Shrine (日枝神社). It's located on top of a small hill in the CBD.
Thank goodness for the escalator!
That's the entrance.
There, the shrine. Looks lovely! Can't believe they have a shrine right smack at the CBD.
Hrm, I don't really know what this is. Anyone knows? Please comment!
And I've no idea what is this about.
Bye shrine!
I headed to Shibuya for a really short detour as I had to change metro stations here. This is the wrong exit! You should look out for 'Hachiko Exit' for the actual Shibuya where the crossroad is!
Took a short walk around the neighbourhood.
More shops!
That's my dinner for the night. Yummy! Love those mochis.
