Destination: Melbourne Part 4

Day 5
Date: 20 October 2009

My sister and I went to Habourtown Docklands via the free City Tram.

Again, nothing much here. I didn't get anything here except for a 30ml bottle of Tea Tree Oil.

I like the interior and furnitures of the restaurant.

I got bored after around 40 mins circling this place.

My sister told me that something had gone wrong with the ferris wheel.

Bought KFC's Wicked Wings to snack. It's really good! I wish our KFC's chicken were as good.

Again, we took the free City Tram back into Russell Street.

My sister suggested that we stopped at the State Library's tram stop so we could head to Mahoni's.

We ordered 1 large plain frozen yogurt. It was delicious! But I think it's closed for good now. So sad!

We went back to the apartment after that.

We decided to head over to Carlton Park to do some dog watching.

But on the way there, we had to pass by a couple of more parks and buildings.

A pond.

I don't really remember what building this is.

That's my sister and me.

A fountain that had red water. Sis was saying it's not usually red. Maybe someone played a prank or something.

Knock, Knock, Anyone home?

Again - forgot!

Along the way, we passed by the Big Imax theatre.

Looks a little like TGV/GSC isn't it? I guess they all look the same worldwide.

Finally, we're there! Carlton Park, here we come!

Look at all the doggies! So cute!

Cute to the max!!!

Destination: Melbourne Part 3

Day 4
Date: 19 October 2009

We took the city tram to DFO South Warth. My cousin and cousin in law were really so nice to dropped us off at the entrance before heading out to do their grocery shopping.

Okay, turn left!

Opps, I mean turn right.

Now, we turn left.

We have arrived at our destination.

Nothing much to shop around. A mixture of imported and local brands. I managed to get a skirt and a scarf.

We went ove to St Kilda's right after.

Cousin and cousin in law decided that we should have a beer.

It was a little chilly though. There were a few people cycling or bringing their dogs for walks.

I wish I had packed some food for a picnic. Such a nice day today!

We then headed to Chapel Street for dinner at one of the Thai Restaurant. But before that, we had a short walk around.

The food was really good though. I've always liked Tom Yam Kung.

It wasn't cheap tough. A big bowl of rice costs about AUD20 or so. I don't remember. I thought it would be like a really huge salad bowl full of rice but no. It's just a medium sized bowl. Rice is really expensive in Australia.

Before we knew it, it was already getting dark. Shops are starting to close but it's quite a view at night.

We decided to have some coffee/tea before we headed home.

Cousin in law was saying 'Stop taking pictures already!'. I think he wanted to have his drink right there and then.

The red cup is my tea! I'm going to hunt for tea cups with saucers like this. So cute!

Destination: Melbourne Part 2

Day 3
Date: 18 October 2009

This will be a really short post. We didn't do much today.

This is the State Library. We didn't go inside as it was already past 11am and we're rushing to Victoria Market.

The nice big lawn outside the library.

We were sitting outside a small chinese restaurant to have lunch before heading to Victoria Market.

Food wise - it was OK. Pricing wise - normal australian priced chinese food.

This is the most pathetic photo of Victoria Market (outside) that was taken on that day. I was already feeling really lazy to take pictures inside. I missed the chance to have some oysters as I was feeling too full from lunch earlier.
